The Oscott Residents Association were pleased to be present at the Cooksey Lane Playing Field public meeting recently. It was a well attender meeting with local resident, Community representatives, Sport club representative along with Councillors Dring, Green, Linnecor and Kane attending.
At this meeting we heard from maximums who hold the lease that they were investing in the site. In the short term more improvements to the club house were taking place and the site would also be improved. On a longer term astro turfing part of the field and starting up a boxing club is under consideration. A committee will be set up next year.
All this bodes well for the young people in our area and we wish them well.
